A chic, urban vibe hotel that opened in 2013. We love the huge lobby in this boutique hotel with its many comfy sofas and books and vintage board games like “Life.” It’s also where they serve the free extensive continental breakfast and coffee and tea all day.
There are limited views of the ocean from some rooms whose décor is in keeping with the modern feel of the hotel. Even though the standard rooms are small, they make very good use of the space by including an under-bed drawer storage. The penthouse suite has a musician theme—for obvious reasons. (An enormous painting of John Lennon and lots of bright colors.) A couple of minutes walk to Waikiki Beach Center, and they will loan you towels, beach chairs and boogie boards for use there.
Rooms are 220 sq. ft., suites with walk in showers are 440 sq. ft., studio penthouses are 440 sq. ft.—one has a lanai. If you book direct, they waive the resort (amenity) fee.
