This hotel is right on the beach. The décor has a Hawaiian feel with all the modern amenities. The Ocean Tower is worth the extra money here. The pool area can be very busy because some other Outrigger properties have access to it. Rooms facing the Waikiki Shore are uncomfortably close to that building. You can practically reach over and peel the paint off their walls, and some of those rooms don’t have a lanai.
The new the Navigator suites wing rooms are 750–1,000 sq. ft. and have amazing ocean views and some have giant lanais. They also have access to the Voyager 47 Club Lounge with daily breakfast and evening receptions. There is even The Reef’s Navigator Experience (10,000 sq. ft. of wiggle room) on your own private floor with 5 bedrooms, a private limo, helicopter adventures, and yacht excursions. You have to call for pricing (we were too afraid to ask).
Kani Ka Pila Grille on-site restaurant is good and open for lunch and dinner. There are lots of Hawaiian cultural demonstrations, activities and nightly local big-name entertainment.
Lots of connecting rooms here. Rooms are 340–405 sq. ft., suites are 589–2,151 sq. ft.
