This property was built in 1925. This is a clean, no-nonsense camp with a no-nonsense attitude: “Leave it as you found it.” The grounds are isolated, but the scenery is quite beautiful with a small stream. The Bunkhouse can be rented in two halves, each half sleeping up to 15 people (bring your own bedding and towels), and there is a kitchenette available. There is no laundry on site. Community restrooms and showers available for the bunkhouse. There’s a huge fire pit (bring your own wood). If you want to communicate with the outside world bring change for the pay phone because your cell phone won’t work and of course there is no internet. (What’s a payphone, you ask? Well it’s this ancient form of communication they used to use before cell phones.) The Bunkhouse rents for each half. The Cottage is available for up to four people. The Lodge has a commercial kitchen, bath, a large covered lanai with Ping-Pong table, volleyball and other games, and can sleep up to 15 people. Or you can rent the entire facility. They often rent to large groups, so be sure and call two weeks or more in advance for availability. The Cottage and Lodge often are reserved up to a year or more in advance with summer being the busiest season. They charge a cleaning fee for the facilities, but if you leave it clean, it may be returned to you. 2-night minimum. They also have tent camping here for $15/person. The turn off is just past Koke‘e Lodge parking area down a dirt road. Look for the signs.
