A hotel separated from the ocean by other buildings. Most of the rooms have good Diamond Head views. Ocean views (if you have one) are not as striking. The ambiance is minimalist Asian. The rooms are large and comfortable, most with shower-only bathrooms. They offer free wine tastings in the late afternoons on some days and yoga on Saturday mornings at Kapiolani Park. They have free bikes for use when available.
The rates feel really high to us for a resort that’s not on the beach, has no pool and is far from the heart of Waikiki. Try for a fifth floor or higher room, if possible. The third floor rooms are level with the garage roof—not a very attractive view. Connecting rooms available. Rooms are approx. 380 sq. ft. The penthouse suite is 1,701 sq. ft. and is a walk-up from 12th floor.
